I am a big fan of the 90s era and its fashion trends, particularly the grunge style.
You cannot help to notice how much of the fashion this season is dominated by 90s fashion trends such as cartoon bags, shirts tied around the waist, bandanas, overalls (the cool kids always had one strap undone), retro headphone necklace, jelly shoes, platform sneakers, crop tops, big watches, zebra-print bracelets, discmans, tattoo chokers, trench coats, doc martin boots, floral pants, air jordans, chain wallets, cassette tape earrings, flannel, butterfly clips (the more the merrier), bucket hats and crimped hair just to name a few.
I am so glad for the revival of the 90s fashion trends because the 90s was no doubt an era when everything was much more simplified, relaxed and happier. In the 90s, everyone was wearing what they wanted to the point we made some fatal fashion faux pas like wearing break-away pants...at least, I did!
Actually, on the subject of break-away pants I can't never forget this one time in 8th grade when some "douche-bag" came out of nowhere and swiftly ripped my pants completely off while I was left standing in front of everyone in my underwear.
If you grew up in the 90's, I bet you must still reminisce about the good times and cringing while looking at photographs of yourself wearing some of the not-so cool stuff like the mentioned break-away pants (if you wore them, of course). Whether you're a fashionista or not, you can't deny that former fashion trends have a knack of coming back strong.
If like me, you kept your 90's fashion clothes and accesories, I bet you will find yourself rummaging into your closet or attic for your 90's stuff;)
